The Capital Team is a newly formed team that bridges Endeavor’s Entrepreneur Experience team, which delivers programmatic services to our entrepreneurs, and the Endeavor Catalyst team. Our job is to ensure Endeavor Entrepreneurs are thoroughly prepared to raise capital from the best investors, increase awareness amongst the best VCs about Endeavor markets and oversee the pipeline for Endeavor Catalyst investments.
About the Role
We're looking for a Manager on the Capital team. As a senior leader on the Capital Team, this individual will support Endeavor Entrepreneurs raising capital from top venture capital (“VC”) and growth equity investors worldwide. Specifically, this individual will architect and execute our General Partner (“GP”) relationship strategy globally, manage relationships with leading GPs, and streamline and optimize the capital raising process for Endeavor Entrepreneurs. This role is critical to delivering on Endeavor’s core mission of supporting entrepreneurs in emerging and underserved markets. Time in this role will primarily be focused on recruiting and engaging the best global VC and growth equity investors to champion Endeavor's markets and companies, and serving as an expert and thought partner when it comes to raising venture capital.
Responsibilities include:
Define and lead a relationship management strategy for Endeavor’s network of venture capital investors globally in service of elevating Endeavor Entrepreneurs. This will include coordination and alignment with teams from our 35+ countries around the world.
Cultivate meaningful relationships with leading venture capital and growth equity funds in the United States, with particular focus on Silicon Valley and New York. Our goal is to get them excited about Endeavor’s mission and about investing in entrepreneurs from emerging and growth markets worldwide.
Oversee the strategy and delivery of current initiatives for the Capital team, in addition to brainstorming and piloting new opportunities to better recruit and engage investors. You should be entrepreneurial in spirit and excited to build.
Facilitate connections and strategic introductions between our network of investors and our portfolio of 1,000+ companies globally.
Serve as an ‘expert’ and thought partner to our teams in supporting our entrepreneurs on their fundraising strategy. This will include profiling relevant investors and providing coaching and insights on fundraising and the state of the market globally.
Lead and execute content that brings our entrepreneurs together with our community of investors for L&D and 1:many mentorship sessions around functional topics related to capital and fundraising.
Oversee rigorous data and knowledge management systems to ensure we have the best information available on our community of investors.
Lead 2-3 Endeavor Investor Network events per year in Endeavor’s global hubs (e.g. Silicon Valley, New York, London, Singapore) to curate meaningful connections between our networks of investors and our portfolio companies.
As a mission-oriented company, Endeavor seeks someone who is aligned with our values:
Entrepreneur First: You are mission-oriented and believe in Endeavor’s model to change the world through high-impact entrepreneurship
Go Big: You are someone whose curiosity drives them to dream (and execute!) big as Endeavor reimagines its service offerings to entrepreneurs. You proactively identify gaps, improve processes and anticipate challenges, and have a strong ability to synthesize large amounts of information and complex ideas.
Network of Trust: You’re great with people! You naturally build and maintain relationships with key players and have the superior interpersonal skills needed to build trust with our entrepreneurs, mentors, and teams in over 40 markets.
Pay It Forward: You’re someone with a service-oriented attitude who asks, “What can I do?” before asking, “What can I get?” You are a team player with a knack for problem-solving.
One Endeavor: You’re comfortable working across cultures and will thrive on working with colleagues in over 30 different countries around the world on joint projects and knowledge sharing about in-country context and portfolio information. You have a vision for what you want to do in-region to build Endeavor Catalyst Network, and you have a bias for action to make it happen.
Always Agile: You believe in the importance of planning but never hesitate to change plans in the face of new data and circumstances. You can wear many hats, are open to change, and can be a creative problem-solver. You are resourceful, adaptable, flexible, and able to work calmly under pressure.
Who We’re Looking For
