About the role:

Endeavor’s mission of building entrepreneurial ecosystems begins with selecting the fastest-growing, most aspirational founders and businesses. The Entrepreneur Selection team oversees Endeavor’s worldwide pipeline strategy and evaluates candidate entrepreneurs at the final stages of the selection journey. As an Analyst on this team, you will evaluate a wide variety of companies progressing through the candidate pipeline, and prepare in-depth written profiles on key business elements, including the product, market opportunity, and growth strategy.

You will work directly with founders and CEOs of high-growth scaleups, as well as with colleagues from around the world, to understand and present businesses across a wide variety of sectors including - but certainly not limited to - enterprise software, fintech, digital health, logistics and transportation, e-commerce, and sustainability.

In addition to the development of candidate company analysis, you will also be responsible for analysis of trends of entrepreneurial activity across Endeavor’s markets, as well as the collaborative execution of monthly International Selection Panels (ISPs). During ISPs, we gather select business leaders from Endeavor’s worldwide network - top founders, investors, and operators alike - to evaluate entrepreneur candidates on their fit with Endeavor's selection criteria. ISPs take place both virtually and in-person, with the potential for travel opportunities for staff - recent ISPs have taken place in Vietnam, Kenya, and Ireland; with four exciting destinations planned for 2025!

Analyst Program Timeline: The three-year Analyst Program is designed to provide hands-on experience in emerging markets entrepreneurship and venture capital. At the end of the three-year program, participants will have several opportunities to continue advancing their careers, including being on track for promotion within the Selection team, moving laterally to a different team within Endeavor, or transitioning externally (past Selection team members have gone on to roles in VC, consulting, or at high-growth tech companies).

This role is based in New York City and reports directly to the Manager of Entrepreneur Selection.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will analyze companies, meet with founders, and collaborate with our worldwide teams to build business profiles on candidates in Endeavor’s selection pipeline. You will also work with our team on strategic and operational projects, while building an understanding of Endeavor’s markets.

• Execute on business analysis and profile development: on a monthly basis, construct 2-4 high-quality, polished business profiles for candidates at the International Selection Panel stage
• Collaborate across teams and stakeholders: build relationships with Endeavor’s worldwide teams, as well as founders in Endeavor’s selection funnel, while diligencing candidate businesses
• Study global markets: analyze and build understanding of emerging markets, venture capital, and industry sectors
• Keep the bar high: continuously improve our teamwide internal processes and deliverables - raise the bar on ISP execution, review profiles for superior quality, set example for excellence in selection to our teams worldwide
• Support strategic projects: work with other Analysts or senior members on the Entrepreneur Selection team on strategic initiatives spanning operations, product / tech, data, etc.

WHO YOU ARE

You are seeking an entry-level opportunity to work with world-class founders, build domain expertise in global entrepreneurship, and enjoy the ride along the way.

• This is an entry-level position open to recent college graduates and professionals with 1-2 years of work experience
• Demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship, emerging markets, and/or venture capital
• Relevant work experience at a startup / scaleup, consulting, venture capital, finance, or an international organization is a plus; extensive collegiate journalistic experience (particularly business / financial) a plus
• Eligibility to live and work in the US required

WHAT YOU BRING

You are a quick study with sharp business instincts. You communicate as incisively as you think.

• Exceptionally strong writing and editing skills: we value the ability to identify and correct weak arguments; to produce clear, concise, objective writing; and to help others do the same at scale
• Sharp business acumen: you can quickly ramp up on key concepts of entrepreneurship and venture capital. Requires the ability to interpret financial statements and metrics, and to understand businesses across various verticals, business models, and geographies, and to adjust according to market conditions
• Keen attention to detail: you own your outputs, and catch mistakes before they happen - your deliverables will be shared with high-level stakeholders, including Endeavor’s entrepreneur candidates, ISP panelists, and leadership team
• A perceptive, quick-learning nature: you quickly pick up market dynamics and business models, even across wide varieties of sectors and geographies - one month, you may be working with a Nigerian digital bank; the next, a Brazilian telehealth platform
• Organizational skills and a self-starter’s nature: we work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. While we are highly-collaborative, you will proactively manage the more cyclical profile development with other strategic initiatives

• Base salary range: $70K with end-of-year bonus. Starting compensation will be determined based on skills and experience
